Creating Art is not a hobby.

Creating Art is not a hobby.

The Inspiration

I remember the conversation that sparked a fire inside me. Art has always been important to me, but the moment I truly realized it was more than a hobby was when I felt the need to protect it, defend it and fight for it.

The concept first came to me as a painting inspiration back in 2020. I would imagine myself being a successful artist, proving people wrong. As I went through the motion of working a regular job and doing the things I was "supposed" to do, something was always missing. I've always known what it is. I am an artist and creating is my calling, my purpose.

A lot of us dream but we don't always follow through. I can't tell you exactly what ignited the action in me, but what I can tell you is this: it will come. And when it does, accept it. It took me a long time to do that, but once I did, I began to wonder: how many others have buried their creative spark because the world told them it wasn't practical?

That question became my mission. And from the mission, Art is not a hobby was born.

Building the brand: A Creative Evolution

Wearing the Message

One of the first tangible ways I brought Art is not a hobby to life was through apparel. Wearing the message allowed me to embody the purpose, it was something I could feel on my skin every day. At the same time, I was taking design courses, and it felt like the brand and I were evolving together. I infused myself into the designs, like including the Nepali flags in the B's of the logo.
